LYF Review – PLUS LYF Online Leads Blueprint

If you haven’t heard of LYF the network marketing company yet, that’s okay because as of the time of this writing, they’re just in pre-launch. But I have a feeling you’ll be hearing more about this company if you haven’t been exposed to the buzz already. I’ve heard the buzz and decided to do some research into what’s got people so excited about LYF Brands. I discovered some pros as well as cons which I’ll share with you in this LYF review.

Let’s start with the pros.

Pro #1: New Network Marketing Company

The first thing that might be considered a pro for LYF is it’s a brand new network marketing company, as I mentioned. A lot of people think that getting in on the “ground floor” of a network marketing opportunity gives them a strategic advantage. The thinking is if you get in early you benefit from all the momentum and growth that happens later.

Pro #2: Strong Executive Team

Another pro could also be the strong executive team. The CEO and founder of LYF is billionaire businessman Michael S. Han. He successfully founded the multi-billion dollar company Envion in 2002 and in then in 2010 launched LYF with $100 million of his own money as startup capital. He’s certainly a strong, proven business leader. Other notable members of the executive team include Chief LYF Coach Michael Kelly and LYF Master Distributor Jimmy Kossert.

Pro #3: Wide Variety of Products

LYF Brands includes many ground-breaking product lines which most distributors would consider a pro. The more products, the more consumers you can appeal to.

The products include The LYF Network™ which provides telephone, internet and wireless services; a health and wellness line called LYFSOURCE™ with many products featuring interesting names such as A2 IRB (an Acai soft chew)and Q2 EFE (a Quercetin soft chew); LYFessence™, a 30-day supply of topical nutritional concentrate for skin; dish wash and laundry detergents; and much more!

There are, however, some cons to consider with LYF. These include the following items that might sound a little similar to some of the pros I just mentioned:

Con #1: New Network Marketing Company

While some people might think getting started with a brand new network marketing company is a great idea there are lots of others who would tell you it’s a risky move. The general advice is to only join a company that’s been around at least 5 years since the majority of new MLM companies fizzle out in their first 12-18 months.

Con #2: Wide Variety of Products

Just like the previous con, this is the same as one of the pros. A wide variety of products may seem great at first, but what’s the one distinguishing “killer” or “flagship” product for LYF? When asked what LYF does, you don’t want to be vague and say something like “We’re a Living Business and we do a little bit of everything.” That’s not very compelling.

Having pointed out some of the cons, though, I don’t think these are enough for you to completely dismiss LYF Brands as a potential business opportunity. On the contrary, I think LYF has a lot of things going for it, especially the strong executive team led by Michael Han and the many innovative product lines. LYF is clearly doing something right because it’s attracting MLM leaders like John Busswood and Dotti Berry.

The one thing I didn’t notice in all of my LYF research was an online marketing system for LYF distributors. With the number of people online today, it’s essential that network marketers have an MLM lead generation system that can effectively help them find folks interested in their business opportunity other than just their friends and family.

EIRO Research Review – More Than an Energy Drink MLM?

EIRO Research is a Dallas, TX-based nutritional MLM company. Founded by Ty Tribble, Chris Cucchiara, and Bo Short and helmed by CEO Chris Hausman, EIRO Research launched in 2009 making it a relative youngster on the health network marketing scene.

Their keystone product is the EIRO Energy drink featuring the special ingredient “superoxide dismutase”. Don’t know what superoxide dismutase is? Me neither. But Kevin Tan does a good job in the article below of briefly explaining what it is and why a health MLM would base their products on it.

Researching EIRO Research – Is it Worth the Effort?

EIRO Research has a super drink. Great another health drink claiming to be the best right? Well, not quite because they claim to have scientific research that focuses on superoxide dismutase. Before we get into that, we want to have all the facts about the company primarily the products and the compensation plan to see if this really is worth the effort to build a lucrative income with.

EIRO Research is a company that is determined to discovering, developing and delivering innovative wellness solutions. They also want to educate people on the health benefits of overall wellness, proper training and living a balanced lifestyle. Third they want to empower people to achieve a better quality of life by offering superior earning potential through network marketing. Finally they want to give back by donating to local and global charities.

The products EIRO Research provides have a focal point in superoxide dismutase. They claim that this enzyme is important to the body’s oxidant defense system and neutralizes the superoxide radical, one of the most prevalent free radicals roaming in the body. Superoxide dismutase levels decrease with age and lower the chances of cell protection and DNA protection from oxidative stress. Their main products include: EIRO, EIROfit, EIROenergy, EIRO lean, and EIRO burn.

Neat little product, but where do entrepreneurs start building? What’s the payout like? After all, you’re here to make some money right? EIRO Research has provided a detailed compensation plan that includes fast start bonuses, preferred customer bonuses, check matching bonus and of course the residual income plan. The leadership positions range from associate all the way to senior vice president. You will have the opportunity to build your enterprise five levels deep with different perks for each position accordingly. As a senior vice president, you will get 10% from your first level, and 5% from levels two to five. Another perk is check matching which offers 25% for personally enrolled associates for levels one to three, 20% on level four and 15% on level five.

How do you actually get to senior vice president though? It can be a brutal market out there and a network marketing business is tough to build on. If you are willing to leverage the internet for your online business, then you need the proper marketing training. Building your business online is by far the most efficient way to spend your time as far as funneling leads into your business. However, there is a particular skillset you must master if you want to make a successful enterprise. The key to building a massive downline is to invest time and effort into marketing techniques. Just as a lawyer must spend years studying books and gaining experience, so must you dedicate yourself to understanding the industry to succeed. Would you want someone who just decided to be a lawyer represent you in court? Of course not. Likewise you cannot just decide to be a marketer today and expect to succeed. Yoli Business Review – Is Yoli’s Blast Cap Technology Just Another Me Too Product?

Yoli, a new network marketing company, is scheduled to set sail on January 22nd, 2010. Yoli’s preliminary product merchandise is named the Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast, an all natural citrus flavored with a unique formula of minerals, vitamins, probiotics, antioxidants and enzymes. The Yoli Truth beverage ingredients are contained within a sealed, patented delivery system called the Yoli Blast Cap. When ready to be consumed, the powdered formula is released into the bottled water. Any aspiring network marketer thinking about joining the Yoli business opportunity should carefully consider whether or not Yoli’s product has enough of a unique and competitive advantage to really compete in the marketplace.

At close examination it does become readily apparent that the method Yoli use to store and deliver the ingredients in their Yoli Truth beverage differs from the standard bottling procedure most companies employ. Almost all beverage products are bottled and preserved using a method called hot-fill, commonly known as pasteurization. This hot-fill process involves boiling the ingredients before bottling. Unfortunately, while destroying bacteria that might otherwise cause reduced self-life, boiling also destroys most of the active nutrients in the beverage.

Pasteurization is not the only method used by manufacturers to increase shelf live. Preservatives such as Sodium Benzoate are also commonly used, but not without controversy. Alarmingly, scientists have requested that the US Food and Drug Administration reexamine the possible risks of putting sodium benzoate into beverages that contain citric acid, a common ingredient in juice formulations. It has been shown that benzene, a carcinogenic chemical, can be created when citric acid is combined with sodium benzoate.

In comparison to the high temperature hot-fill process or use of chemical preservatives, Yoli’s Blast Cap technology seems much more advantageous. Its ingredients are freeze-dried at their peak ripeness in a fresh, powder form and then are sealed inside the Blast Cap, which protects them from the harmful effects of light, heat or moisture. When the consumer is ready to drink his or her Yoli Truth Blast, the powder stored in the blast cap is “blasted” into the bottle of water, which is then shaken to mix the beverage. Because the ingredients in Yoli’s product are not boiled or stored in water for extended lengths of time, there is minimal nutrient degradation before consumption.

When the cost per bottle is compared, it becomes much clearer that, in comparison with other MLM functional beverage products, Yoli has a considerably lower price point. As an example, Monavie’s original Acai beverage sells for $32 for a 25.35 fluid ounce bottle, and has a recommended serving of 1 to 2 ounces, twice per day. Some people take issue with Monavie’s seemingly arbitrary 1 – 2 ounce serving suggestion, as this makes it sound more like a medicine, when it is obviously a beverage. In comparison, Yoli’s Truth beverage wholesales for only $3.99 per 18 oz. bottle. Furthermore, once a customer has a reusable Yoli bottle, just the actual Blast Cap can be reordered for $2.49 each.

Yoli Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Corey Citron’s claim that Yoli has the solution to the experience of an “embarrassment factor” familiar to MLM distributors who endeavor to market the industry’s overpriced products with sticker-shocked family members and friends seems justified when examining the price point of Yoli’s products.

To summarize, Yoli’s patented delivery system that stores and delivers the Yoli formulation without a nutrient destroying boiling process or chemical preservatives, combined with a much lower price point than MLM competitors does indeed seem to offer the Yoli Blast Cap product line a competitive and unique selling proposition in the MLM industry.

However, everything that Yoli has going for it will be useless you know how to generate a consistent flow of leads to grow your Yoli business. This is where most network marketing distributors fall short because they don’t have a clear blueprint in place to generate 50+ leads per day into their marketing system or sales funnel.

A new health network marketing company launched this weekend and it has created quite a buzz on the Internet. It’s called Vollara which is derived from the Latin verb “to fly”.

But it’s not really a new company. It’s the reincarnation of Heartland Select and EcoQuest International, two health and wellness companies with complementary product lines.

This is a tough time for health network marketing companies. Already in 2010 we’ve had two high-profile health MLMs either close or show signs of serious trouble: Arbonne and Xelr8. MLM Lead Generation System – Three Reasons You Should Have One

Maybe my story will sound familiar. I resisted setting up an MLM lead generation system for a long time. I was having pretty good results building my network marketing business the traditional way: talking to friends and family, doing a bit of Internet marketing here and there.

Of course, I saw plenty of people using MLM lead generation systems online and I wasn’t interested at first. I thought there would be a conflict between having a lead generation system and my primary MLM. As if I would have to put my network marketing on hold and promote something completely different. That bugged me.

Plus, I thought I could figure it all out on my own. Why should I have someone else teach me things I already knew?

I Saw Something That Made Me Change My Mind

Then I noticed something that made me think again. I had purchased an online marketing course for network marketers (Mike Dillard’s Traffic Formula 2.0) and saw online marketers I respected talk about the benefits of having an online MLM lead generation system.

I realized that not only would it be smart to have a system to generate MLM leads but it would be even smarter to not build this system completely from scratch. I wanted the same results I saw these leaders getting now, not a year from now. That’s when I started looking into ready-made MLM lead systems.

Three Things You Should Know About Your MLM Lead Generation System

In case you are like I was and you’re resisting going the lead generation system route, please consider the following things you might not know.

1. Create More Leads Than You’d Believe. You probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you how many real-time, targeted leads your MLM lead generation system can generate for you automatically. For instance, once you get your system set up it’s not unreasonable to expect 50-100 leads per week. But if you had a list of 1000 prospects, maybe only 50 or less might be interested in your business. Top MLM Companies 2009

Kim Klaver regularly lists the top business opportunities as determined by the traffic tracking site Alexa.com. As Kim says, Alexa is “the most widely used tracking service for website rankings since 1996.”

While the lists that Kim compiles won’t tell you which companies are better than the others, they are pretty good indications of the popularity of the different companies at this particular point in time.

What caught my attention was how health network marketing companies clearly dominate this list. When I refer to “health network marketing companies” I mean companies that primarily offer health-focused nutritional products. So potions versus lotions.

Even Avon and Arbonne, mostly known for skin care products, have lines of weight loss products.

Of all the different MLM categories, health network marketing companies are the largest by my count with 21 companies in the top 50. Plus, if you factor in companies that don’t primarily offer health nutritional products but offer them as additional product lines the number jumps to 27. For example, even Avon and Arbonne, mostly known for skin care products, have lines of weight loss products.

Now you might look at this dominance of health network marketing companies and conclude that the market is saturated. “Why get involved with health network marketing if that’s what everybody else is doing? I should do something different to stand out.”

But what we’re seeing in this list is a reflection of the huge interest in health-related products. And that trend is GROWING. So don’t dismiss health network marketing companies because they’re popular. You don’t want to fight the trend. Good business people embrace trends. Remember, “the trend is your friend”.

DVD Review: “Beyond the Secret” Is it Any Good? (Quick Answer: NO)

If you’re like me, you watched The Secret several years ago and it changed the way you look at the world. Sure, I read Think and Grow Rich and I know the message of The Secret (you tend to get that which you focus on) is essentially the same. The power of The Secret, though, was in the dramatic story-telling, the insightful commentary and the beautiful production values. Altogether, it made for an entertaining and highly watchable movie.

Ever since watching The Secret I’ve looked for other movies that expand on the ideas taught in it. There are good ones out there, including the thought-provoking What the Bleep Do We Know!? which I certainly recommend.

Beyond the Secret, though, isn’t one of the good ones.

I’m afraid a lot of people will watch Beyond the Secret thinking it’s The Secret Part II. It’s a shame that the title gives that impression. Beyond the Secret has none of the power or significance of The Secret and is really just a lame rip-off.

I watched the whole DVD–which, believe me, was a challenge. I didn’t learn anything new and that’s not because Beyond the Secret is just a rehash of The Secret. It’s not even a very good rehash.

The movie opens with an introduction from Holli Walker–someone I’ve never heard of but I guess she’s a life-coach or something like that. The way the rest of the movie works is this: Holli reads part of a letter she received from someone looking for help or guidance with a life issue and then for the next 20 minutes or so a series of motivational gurus take turns expounding on philosophical ideas supposedly related to the question. Then Holli asks another question and the process repeats.

Part of the problem with this movie is with the gurus themselves. Sure, I recognize Bob Proctor and Les Brown. But who are all these other people: Mary Morrissey, Ricky Byars Beckwith, Mark Moffitt, Steve Siebold, Marcia Wieder, Christian Simpson and Paul Martinelli? I imagine they are life coaches, authors or motivational speakers but they had nothing special to offer, just the standard “everything you look at was created twice”, “write out what you want over the next 6 months”, etc.

The only good news is Les Brown kept waking me up: “You’re bigger than your excuse!” I was grateful to have him there to keep me from slipping into a coma.

Another major problem was the editing. The gurus would each speak for 5 to 30 seconds and then we’d see another guru say something different but related, and so on. Even worse, one guru would start to tell a story only to be interrupted by 2 or 3 other gurus talking about something else. It all felt very disjointed and confusing. I quickly got hypnotized by the non-stop philosophical ramblings.

The only good news is Les Brown kept waking me up: “You’re bigger than your excuse!” I was grateful to have him there to keep me from slipping into a coma. Bob Proctor is always good: “Whatever you resist persists”. But I couldn’t help but wonder what Les and Bob were doing in an otherwise low-quality movie.

Perhaps Les and Bob’s appearance fees ate up the entire production budget because the production quality was terrible. All the gurus were simply talking heads in front of a green screen with the same boring floating background. The only amusement factor of the whole movie was how the heads never seemed to be the same level–some were shot from the chest up and some were barely from the neck up. There clearly wasn’t much effort made to align the heads with each other.

I forced myself to watch the entire thing just in case it got better. It never did.

Every once in a while interspersed between the talking heads there would be some unrelated, generic stock footage of landscapes, people reading, people in business meetings and other boring things. In The Secret we saw dramatic scenes portrayed by actors that enhanced the message of the movie. In Beyond the Secret we get stock footage of sunsets.

This all made for a boring, tedious and ultimately draining movie.

I’ve watch The Secret many times, each time appreciating it a little more. With Beyond the Secret I forced myself to watch the entire thing just in case it got better. It never did.

I was glad when it was over.

The Three Books You Must Read Before Calling MLM Leads

Have you tried calling MLM leads to build your network marketing business? That’s often the next step eager network marketers take after introducing their business to everyone in their warm market.

By the way, if you’re calling leads and you haven’t shared your business with your family, friends and other contacts, then stop, read Beach Money: Creating Your Dream Life Through Network Marketing by Jordan Adler and set aside some time to meet with the people in your warm market. If you don’t have enough belief in your business to share it with people who know, like and trust you, trying to share it with total strangers is never going to work.

I remember when I first started calling MLM leads I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know what to say to potential prospects (it wasn’t until later that I developed a simple script to follow) which was bad enough. But even worse, I didn’t have the right mindset for calling leads.

When I didn’t get good results right away I got discouraged and quit calling leads consistently. Luckily, that’s changed for me, and I’ll share with you my secret for calling leads and not getting discouraged (hint: it has nothing to do with having the right script).

Network marketers usually think that the trick to success with calling business opportunity leads is having the right script. It’s almost like people think there are certain magic words you can say that will compel person after person to join your business. If that were the case, though, then I’d have been a success with leads a long time ago because I got the best lead scripts available.

There are lots of resources you can turn to for scripts to follow when calling leads. Dani Johnson and Todd Falcone are two great examples and I recommend their scripts highly. While using a good script when calling leads is important, I think what’s even more important is having the proper mindset. In fact, if I had to list the three most important things you need to successfully call MLM leads it would be:

1. The right mindset
2. A never-ending source of targeted leads
3. A good script

In that order.

I’ll talk about getting quality leads and a good script in other articles because you need to make sure your head is in the right place first. So I’m going to share with you the three books that most influenced my ability to successfully call MLM leads. Read these books and you’ll see an improvement in your results, too.

The first one is The Slight Edge: Secret to a Successful Life by Jeff Olson. This book is so good that not only should every network marketer read it, EVERYONE who wants to be successful at anything should read it. It does a great job of explaining that success is based on tiny, seemingly-insignificant actions repeated over and over. This applies to anything anyone could strive for. After reading this book you’ll understand why you’re more likely to succeed by calling even just a few leads every day versus calling a bunch of leads at once.

The Slight Edge will help you overcome that nagging feeling after the first couple of days calling leads and apparently not getting anywhere that “this isn’t working.” It really is!

The second book you need to read before calling MLM leads is Go for No! by Richard Fenton & Andrea Waltz. This is a thin but powerful book telling the story of a salesman who learns why he’s not nearly as successful in sales as he could be.

Everyone in sales needs to read Go for No! (and yes, if you’re in network marketing, you’re in sales) but even if you’re not in sales you’ll enjoy the story and get a lot out of it. My wife read this book and she told me ways she would apply what she learned even though she’s not in sales.

Go for No! will help you understand that the secret to success in sales is getting as many No’s as possible. This book will completely wash your fear of rejection away. No’s aren’t a rejection of you–they are simply a necessary part of the sales process. You’ll understand the ultimate irony of sales: the more No’s you get, the more successful you will be. Crazy, huh?

The third and final book you need to read before calling MLM leads is Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time by master motivator Brian Tracy. This is an excellent book that is full of tips for helping you not just get things done, but get the right things done. It doesn’t matter if you understand why calling leads consistently is important and you’ve overcome your fear of rejection if you never end up calling leads because you’re too busy playing Bejeweled.

Eat that Frog will show you why it’s so important to get the essential things done right away. You’ll know exactly how to prioritize your actions and your days.

To recap, if you haven’t read these books, go get them now and read them. I recommend you read them in this order:

2. Go for No!
3. Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time

You’ll then have the skills necessary to successfully call MLM leads.
